My pond was absolute pea soup and I have tried all sorts of different combinations of pumps and filter with varying degrees of success. Biggest pain being frequent cleaning. So I bought this filter and I now run the water through a uv into the filter which also has a uv light and back to the pond. After a week the algae is dead and the pond is much cleaner. Filter is simple to clean just reverse the flow and turn the handle waste water goes via a hose to the garden. For a deep clean of the sponges just take the top of and remove sponges for cleaning. This is the most effective and easily cleaned filter I have bought. And I have had a few. Worth the money.I

After my pond went pea green on me and all the chemicals had failed to help. I decided that a new pressure filter with a decent sized UV light was the way forward. This product was an excellent purchase for its size and quality seems very good. I did find that there was a leak from my pump to the unit. But changing the hose to a smooth type rather than the more common ribbed hose solved the issue. Within a few days I could see the bottom and a fortnight later the pictures and video I’ve attached prove that it was a good purchase all round.

Let me say from the outset that this is a good product and I am pleased with it. I had a problem when connecting the UV light to a Blagdon 5 way garden switch as it instantly blew 2 x 1A fuses. Given the power rating of the UV light, this did seem strange as there is a 7w bulb and a 250w supply. I contacted the seller to ask about the power rating of the light and was given an evasive response "Unfortunately, we are not able to advise on this, due to UK legislation (the same that prevents us from supplying these units with a plug attached), we are only able to recommend seeking advice from an electrician". To be clear I didn't ask for anything other than the power rating of the unit. I've since connected the light to a higher amperage outlet and it did not blow this time. Haven't taken the unit apart to check the UV light is actually working as I already have a higher power UV in flow system which I am happy to use. Service issues aside, filter is very effective and much better than the one it replaces. It is quite a big unit so check your dimensions

I bought the premium 15000 filter - works like a dream. After an initial problem, which was quickly resolved by Swell UK customer service, my 2500 litre pond was transformed from a real pea-souper to completely clear in 2 to 3 days. So pleased. I can see all my fish now. Intermediate cleaning is simple and straightforward. The only negative aspect that I can see is that to do a full clean, i.e sponges out and thoroughly cleaned, involves a bit of disassembly. Otherwise this filter is perfect. Great product.

Wish I had bought one of these years ago instead of box uv filters, so easy to fit and maintain cleared my pond water to crystal clear in 4 days from a pond you could not see anything as water was so dull due to the 2 box filters not doing the job . Buy this and never have a problem with water clarity again stunning piece of equipment BUY BUY BUY

Fitted between Pond Pump Pipe & fitted next to top of Fountain, for Koi Fish Pond easily. Pond was cleaned quickly in a couple of days & kept clean. After a month fitted length of pipe onto top of Filter to discharge dirty water into lawn, then turned handle several times till water ran out clean. Removed this pipe for storage till end of another month to repeat. UV light cleans water. Will buy same again from Amazon.

Easy to set up. Perfect size for our pond to keep the water flowing. The indicator popped up to show us when we needed to clean filter as described. So easy to clean the filter too. Plus its alot smaller than our previous one and much more powerful. Really pleased with this filter box.

I received the filter promptly via Prime. I familiarised myself with the workings and installed it in my enclosed filter housing. It worked great and I was perfectly happy with the purchase. Then after only 3 weeks, the UV stopped working, I checked it out and the problem lies with the Ballast/starter. This seems to be a very easy fix. I have now contacted the seller 3 times in an attempt to resolve the problem. I could just return it for a refund, but packing up a used filter is far more labour intensive than just replacing a small unit. As of today I have not even received an acknowledgement of receipt of my complaint, let alone a resolution. Watch this space!!!!! I have just been on to Amazon customer services talking to a robotic chat system, and have found a reply from Swell UK. Dated 24/09/21 stating the Ballast needs to be soldered😲, am I able to do this myself? If so they will replace the Ballast. This is what I asked them to do in the first place. I was only able to see that Swell, had responded when directed to the Amazon message centre! However there is no facility to reply to them, from the message centre???? What happened to a simple email? I decided, that this was turning into a bit of a nonsense, so I clicked on the "Return for full refund" option.......only to find that the item was no longer returnable as this option expired on 24/09/21. I have now ordered a new Ballast at a cost of £20.00 I will get it soldered but I will not be buying anything more from Swell UK. I didn't find much help from Amazon either. My advice based on the complete lack of satisfactory Customer Services from both Swell UK and Amazon, is, a middle finger to both. My final contribution to this review, posted 8th October 2021. I received a replacement Ballast from SWELL UK, yesterday. It too, is faulty. I am so angry words fail me!
