Makes the best cookies ever!
Makes the best cut out cookies ever. My recipe was from my great grandmas mom. People just look at you funny when you say you are making Old German Ammonia Cookies. I’ll be making all kinds of cut outs. They freeze really well. So glad to have found this and at a decent price

The magic ingredient!
Every Christmas I make an old family Swedish cookie recipe simply called”Dreams” which need this unique gradient to create a light and airy texture in the cookie, which is basically butter, sugar, and a little flour. Your home will smell a bit like ammonia when you make this type of cookie, but it bakes off and that is what creates the special quality you only get with Bakers ammonium. So glad Amazon has it.

Great for fluffy eclairscand cream puffs.
This is a great product that works really well at making things like eclairs and cream puffs. Just add a pinch though. I didn't realize the, just a pinch bit, so I have a life time supply with this little bottle!

Worked great as a pest attractant for sticky traps
I purchased this to use as an attractant for yellow sticky traps. Many fruit pests are attracted to ammonia gas, which this releases slowly. Some products are called ammonium bicarbonate, which I am unsure if it is actually the same thing. This product produces the gas you want for traps. A teaspoon lasts 3-4 days in open air (75 degrees F), which is convenient. I apply once a week, a few days without ammonia seems to be fine. There is a mild ammonia odor from the product, and the white powder slowly sublimes away. The bag should last 2 active seasons (2 months each) with 2 traps, making it a great value. There are a few clumps, which have grown since purchase, but they break apart easily. The clumps work well for my purpose as they stay put better.

Ziploc package
Came in a clear ziploc bag. I’m a little freaked out about that for a food grade product that I’m using in baking. Still I tried a batch with it to see if the dough would rise and it did not. Can’t return it. Will not buy again.
