HEAT Variety 3 pk “Creeping Ghost” Carolina Reaper - Volcanic Jalapeño & Mango Habanero Beef Jerky Three -3oz Bags

These were a gift and it is said that they taste great and are pretty tender for jerky but are very hot (as expected).

These beef jerky are NOT watered down at all. The Mango Habanero is very good, it is lightly sweet, lightly citrusy yet enough heat but not overwhelming. I would recommend this flavor and I would buy it again. The Jalapeno is spicy, yes, spicier than the Mango Habanero. The Creeping Reaper is what the name says it is. It's tender, some light sweetness to it and then the Reaper creeps up and the spice will linger in your mouth for awhile. You will feel it all the way into your stomach. This jerky is hotter than a lot of hot sauce that claims to be hot, that I've tried. I would recommend that you work your way up to this one. Although I am a bit disappointed, the last bag I ordered, it was much spicier. Every piece of jerky was covered in pepper flakes/seeds.

High quality meat. The hot mango one had the best taste but really hot

The meat is moist but not too chewy. Flavor is quite good, until you burn your taste buds out on the ghost pepper. All three are fairly spicy but ghost pepper is for the real fans of heat. All are tolerable though, not a ‘spicy challenge’ level of heat that is unpleasant to eat.

WOW!! Excellent texture and flavor! Just ordered another 3 pack to start the New Year with a bang!

A little pricey for what you get

I always look for hot and spicy jerky. Most brands say they are hot, but appear mild to me. These hit the mark. I learned about the Carolina Reaper the hard way. The first few pieces floored me. The rest was fine once I knew what to expect. Definitely have milk or a milkshake on hand while eating the Carolina Reaper one. I marked 4 on giftable instead of 5 because of the extreme heat factor. It was so hot the first time I ate it that even my teeth hurt. That was a whole new sensation for me.

I bought the reaper jerky before. It was HOT and good. I ordered this pack on 6/21/24 and took a bite of the jalepeno jerky...sad and not hot....took a bite of the reaper I got before and this reaper pack is 10% of the heat. Company was GREAT and not sure why they decided to give customers so little quality and consistency. I liked these guys but I bought the SAME bag within a year and the difference is MASSIVE! zero consistency.
