It’s a large pill but swallowable. I’ve been taking them for quite a while.

I have purchased this product in the past from another vendor. This product meets my needs vitamin needs. This vendor was prompt in shipping and I found this vendor was a little less in price.

This is a fairly large tablet but contains only 333 mg of calcium. However as the citrate form it is much better absorbed than the more common carbonate form. This form of calcium is particularly needed by people who have reduced stomach acid from disease or from medication.

I've been taking 2 per day for almost a year, and my latest bone density scan shows a slight improvement over the last time. I will be increasing to the full 3 per day recommendation. Be aware that ALL calcium citrate pills are large -- that is not something unique to this brand. It is much more absorbable than calcium carbonate, so having a large pill is the sacrifice you have to make for not having kidney stones due to poor absorption. Personally, I'd much rather have to swallow a large pill than have a kidney stone from taking calcium carbonate. It's really not that hard to swallow.

I know KAL to be a high quality brand. My doctor recommended calcium citrate for me. After a while it became clear that it was slowing down my lower digestive inner workings. I did an online search for Calcium citrate and constipation. Results: yes, this form of calcium is known to cause this in some people. Good brand, but this form of calcium is not for me.
