This bath tub plug plugs the tub ☺️ fits perfectly and no leaks 👍🏻 I just measured the diameter and checked to make sure it would works. Keeps the water level perfect. Easy to use, just put it in, not much to it.

This replaces a stopper that I suspect came with the apartment when it was first rented in the 1960's. Rule of thumb, when the rubber is so old it crumbles like blue cheese and probably has the same fungal content it's time to change the stopper. This stopper not not only keeps water in the sink when I want it to, it also keeps water from backing up into the sink every morning when other apartment dwellers are in their bathrooms diligently getting ready for work, brushing their teeth, and doing whatever else they do at their bathroom sinks. So far I haven't had any major floods in the bathroom but I have gotten up several times to find a sink full of murky water with some on the floor. So, this gets 5 stars because it serves the purpose it was designed for plus it keeps me from having to mop the bathroom floor and disinfect the sink every morning. It's also easier then complaining to the apartment manager, yet again, and being told to use baking soda and vinegar because that always works for her.

I have a bathtub in a guest room that doesn't get a lot of use. I wanted to clean the tub by filling it with a cleaning solution overnight but the built-in stopper was jammed/not working. I knew this was going to be a one-time use so the price was perfect. It works as it should but the material feels as if it will not last if used many times and or for a year or more. It just feels like it will crumble/degrade over time. I don't think this is made out of solid rubber. It's almost like a rubber/foam-type material.

I have purchased these stoppers a few times over the years. The quality of the rubber is pretty decent. The rubber will discolour after a while, but I suppose that is to be expected after prolonged use. I have one that is several years old now, and the rubber has not cracked or crumbled, but the rubber first darkened, and then later it took on a pink hue. I thought this very odd, but it did not affect function. However, the metal rings they put on these stoppers are complete rubbish. They must buy the metal rings 1000 for $1.00. The rings are so worthless that they might as well not add them at all. They are so flimsy that they will pull off the stopper not long after you start using the stopper, and I found that once they come off of the stopper, they are impossible to get back on. Then you have to struggle to remove the stopper from the drain hole. That is my one big criticism other than price. I think some sizes are overpriced. The one I just purchased for my old iron bathtub that fit is a 1 3/8" . I measured my drain hole, and it should have taken a 1.5", but that size was too big. The 1.25" was too small. If you use one that is a tad too large the way I did with the 1.5" inch, then it will pop out of the drain continuously whilst your precious bath water runs down the drain. This 1 3/8" seems to be the perfect size for my bathtub, but if after using it for a while it proves problematic, I will edit this review.

These Danco stoppers work really well. We just recently moved into an older home that requires a tub stopper. My husband went out and bought some at a local hardware store. However, it was just a big round circle flap that kind of just went over the drain. I wasn't satisfied with it. I kept an eye out at Walmart etc... and couldn't find any I liked. I shop very frequently on Amazon and decided to check out if they had drain plugs! I was so happy when I found these and the price is right too! My advice is make sure you measure your drain first before you buy them. They are a bit hard to fit in but they work well. You just have to use a little muscle. I am thinking they were made this way for a reason and that reason would be to prevent water from leaking out. After continued use, they fit nice and snug and just had to be broken in a bit. They are good quality and made out of rubber and have a metal ring at the top so that you can pull the plug out to allow the water to drain. Overall, I am pleased with the product and would repurchase if I needed a replacement!
