Amazon Basics Clothes Airer, 4-Tier Adjustable Drying Rack with 6 Foldable Wings, 126cm x 64cm x 173cm for Indoor Laundry, Silver

I had been looking for a clothes airer which was upright and tall instead of wide. I had looked at a few and thought I would try the Amazon basics one. When it arrived I opened up the box but unfortunately the first one I received I think had been a return as the labels on the packets had come off and one part was broken but after contacting Amazon they sent a replacement straight away. It does take a bit of putting together but it is worth it. It holds a lot of washing and you can hang clothes from the sides. It feels very sturdy but I would be careful putting heavy items on just incase the plastic parts crack and break. I would recommend the airer and I am glad I bought it.

0 faults for what is a huge step up from the cheaper, collapsible wire racks. Assembly was straight forward enough, especially if you're used to assembly products. No issue with length, some poles are different length, FYI don't just open all the bags and forget which bag they come from. The letter is on the bag, not the poll, so follow instructions carefully. Very sturdy, holds almost double the laundry. It doses take up a more space than i realised, I'm over 6ft and it's as tall and wide as me, but I like not having to bend so low anymore, but do me mindful, especially with both sides extended. Even with both sides collapsed, it does take up a lot more space. Probably best suited to bigger houses, but does the job and more. Would buy again for the money

Do not waste your money on this heap of junk!!! It is far from sturdy! The slightest touch and the poles fall apart! You can't put hardly anything on it without it falling apart *update review* I've been using it for a while now and you need to push the poles in REALLY hard but it seems to be holding together better than it did after really pushing the poles in. I can easily get a full load of washing on the airer and the clothes dry pretty quick. I'm a lot happier with the product now then when I first bought it but that was just me being impatient and not pushing the poles in hard enough. Before the airer I barely had anyway to dry clothes but this does seem to dry the clothes efficiently and takes just a few hours even away from a radiator and doesn't leave the clothes smelling damp. I regretted my purchase at first but after giving it a good go I think it's a brilliant product

I set aside an hour for the assembly of the product, so that I wouldn't rush it and make a mistake. Assembly was quite easy, and the pictorial instructions were fine. As usual, best to lay out the components in a clear manner, and being firm with the " Pole A into Hole B" actions. Completed in 40 mins, while chatting with family. Item is fairly robust, with a decent amount of space for clothes etc, but the lightness means that when empty, the castors aren't very free-moving. Good value item, but unlikely to be a future heirloom for the Grandkids.

Quite simple though lots of bits to assemble but worth the effort. It is big though, I didn't appreciate just how large beforehand. Lots of capacity & a great airer so well worth the money.

Having read some previous negative reviews, I was of the opinion that I'd get this based on price - £14 - then extra height, as current german shop ones are shorter, and then see how it goes. Well, better than expected! Was put together by another person who is only a tad stronger than me, but 2 months of use, all fine. As well as taller, is stronger than german shop ones I have, and I'd guess the only bits which would improve I guess would be the 'strengtheners' that I have on previous ones, which stop racks coming out when moving. It's no biggie though, just don't pull out when moving. For the price, not worth being a bother. I'd guess if room to have permanently open, I'd probably use cable ties. Now double bed sheets are not almost touching floor when hung. I'm pretty happy with it, especially when low priced.

A good airer and lots of space to hang your clothes. BUT, it constantly fell apart. The tubes kept coming out! Had to glue them in.
