Must for hanging lots of threaded rod
Use this at work a lot hanning trapeze for conduits. This guy combined with a Sammy cuts time down ridiculously. Very nice tool to have around. The only big problem I have with it. It doesn’t like a regular size impact unless you got a tourque setting set low. I just switched to a m12 impact from Milwaukee and seems to love that more doesn’t jam up or strip the end out and gets it tighten down perfect.

Tool crushes the threads. Does not torque rods enough.
Electrician. I'm not completely satisfied with this threaded rod tool. At first look, I was very impressed at the ingenious locking mechanism that allows the tool to work. Unfortunately, it will not torque the threaded rods fully without crushing the threads. I used this with my Makita 18v impact driver. I torqued the rod down till it started to crush the threads, but I still had to crank the rod in with my channel lock pliers, at least 4 more turns. This tool basically gets the rod finger tight. It's not much quicker than the standard channel lock method.

Do you run rod a lot?
If you said yes then buy this. Build quality is absolutely stunning. Most tools aren't made this well these days. It's a tool that takes simple mechanics and applies it in an efficient means. Admittedly I've used it in an m12 impact and it does great, just put it on a low setting or the panhead setting and drive on.
