So, DOES it have hdmi output? (The Xbod itself is not a monitor so I can't "watch movies right on it." I still have to connect to a screen)

Does this play sound thru the HDMI cable? My 360s did not and required the green cable to be connected for sound which on my TV was coupled with the VGA input which meant I had no sound....

will the 320GB hard drives for the XBOX 360 slim fit in this model? are they the same?

Yes, we replaced the 4 gb with a 320 gb in 3 systems for my boys..all three work great

You absolutely want a model with a hard drive (i.e. the 250GB model). The 360 is EXTREMELY loud if it's running games from DVD. If you install them to the hard drive first, it's vastly quieter. Games can also load faster from hard drive, and some games essentially require it, or are missing chunks of the game if you don't have a hard drive, like may have a disc you need to install first before running from the first disc.This 4GB model exists only to trick people into thinking the system is a bit cheaper than it really is. You effectively need the hard drive, and it's cheaper and easier to just buy the system with it already installed...skip this 4GB model.
