Nonfiction Reading Comprehension: Science, Grade 3: Science, Grade 3

I really like this book for summer learning for my daughter. She gets the reading comprehension aspect, and she also gets an interesting little science lesson on top of that. Each lesson has it's own section of vocabulary words. On a separate piece of paper, I also have her re-write the vocab words on each lesson and have her look up and write down a few of the definitions. This throws in handwriting practice as well. I really like that you have basic science, vocabulary, reading comprehension (and handwriting if you choose!) All in one book. I like that it's very easy to expand upon. It's one of my every day go to work books for summer learning.

Interesting stories and great value.

These workbooks are so well written, miles ahead of the other popular publishers! Material is very well presented in sentences that build upon each other to encourage much deeper understanding and retention of information. This has been our go-to resource during the pandemic-related school closure. In fact, the online resources our school provided were so pathetic, that we entirely skipped them and went with these workbooks instead. My 2nd grader was able to get ahead while actually enjoying doing her homework! Highly recommend!

I highly recommend this book. It teaches Reading, Science, and strengthens test taking skills. I purchased this companies History/Reading book and loved it so much that I ordered this Science one. The stories are not to long and not to short. They are very interesting a can keep my ten year olds attention thru an entire lesson, and this is not an easy thing to do. After each lesson are some multiple choice questions that do not take long to complete. I am very satisfied with this purchase and will order more in the future!!!

A little difficult for 3rd grade...imo

My grandson hates to learn but loves the topics discussed in this book so it’s easy to get him to write and read while learning about things he loves.

My daughter loves it! She is starting 2nd grade next year but is advanced in reading. This level (3rd grade) is a good challenge for her.
