It can't happen with the M50. The post that supplies power to the virtual battery is way too tall. This makes the adapter useless for the Canon EOS M50. UPDATE: What I didn't realize is that the rubber cover on the Battery Door of the M50 lifts up. This exposes the jack that the power connector connects to. I used it today for 1.5 hrs in a family Zoom Meeting and it worked flawlessly. I should take a star or two off for the lousy directions and pictures, however that is not what the stars are for. I am very happy with this.
