Be sure to locate the tiny black Allen screw that, at least in my case, was not set in the stud when the package arrived. It’s easy enough to set it in the stud with the help of the included Allen wrench. But it may take you five extra minutes if it falls between the sofa cushions and you have to look for it. 2. I repositioned the stud on the back of the blade three or four times before I found the sweet spot that offered the best leverage and least resistance.. Nice when a product works out so perfectly! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This Thumb Stud Works *by T***N on May 24, 2025* I received a Benchmade Mini-Taggedout knife as a gift, but I had trouble using the slit on the top of the blade to open it, so I installed a brass Kwik Thumb Stud. Well, the knife looks garish enough with its orange handles, and the brass thumb stud made it look like a Mardi Gras throw, so I ordered a stainless steel Kwik thumb stud and installed that on the Benchmade. Then I installed the brass one on a 40+ year-old Gerber LST knife that was my workplace EDC back in the day. Now I can open the LST with one hand! It was easy to install both studs, and the studs stay put. Opening the knives now is so much easier. BTW, just for fun, I tried slipping the brass stud through the slit of the Benchmade blade and installing it upside-down.
