Some new trucks allow the bedslide to be attached to existing bolt holes in the truck bed -- other wise you have to drill. I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 short bed -- had to drill a few holes. Amazon great for most items just not big ticket items **Q: Is this universal?** A: The width is universal for full size pickups. My 2022 F250 actually came with a longer box. I chose this shorter Bedslide so I could fit an inverter/generator, 2 water jeri cans, 1 gasoline jeri can and an LP tank in the front of the box. Since those items rarely ever need to be moved and they required more headroom than the Bedslide provides (while used in conjunction with a tonneau cover), using the shorter Bedslide was the logical answer.
