Easy to assemble - I put the bed together myself in no time at all. It is lower than I expected but it's for the guest room so not a problem as of yet. I broke a wooden dowel so had to buy more just to replace one. It would be good if the company supplied a spare or 2 especially since they are easily breakable but it doesn't take away from the quality of the bed itself. As someone else has stated, the ledge for the slats to screw onto is really narrow and needs to be wider but I managed by way of bypassing the designated hole on 3 of the slats and creating my own. Overall I am very happy with the bed and mattress and await a verdict from my guest that is due to arrive in a few days. I would buy another in the future if required.. Review: Great looking sturdy bed! - Bought this for my youngest's bedroom. Packaging was excellent and protected the components well. Was delivered early too and was kept well informed of delivery progress. It was very easy to assemble, did it on my own within an hour. Definitely recommend an electric screwdriver to save your arms when screwing the slats in. Some of the wood had been painted somewhat slapdash, taking away from the quality feel (hence the dropped star). Some of the fixings looked a touch old and not the highest of quality. However these parts are not visible once the mattress is in situ, and everything fit together well so it's not a major issue (would give it 9/10 if I could).
