I will admit that over the past few years I’ve deviated from Spanx brand, and while I’ve found a few from other brands that were quite good, there were many that were awful, and not ONE non-Spanx shaper had this high quality for anywhere near the current $48 asking price. I truly can’t get over how wonderful this shaper is and that it’s not well over $100 — I see now that you really can’t do better than Spanx! This is what I’d consider a medium intensity shaper: it holds you in and makes you appear a bit slimmer and certainly completely smoothed out in the waist area, but it’s not corset-level nor is it light coverage. I ordered size Large and I’m 5’7” and around 167 lbs and my waist/mom pooch is definitely my “problem area”! It’s my perfect coverage level: enough that my waist is held in, but not at all binding or uncomfortable.
