It is a very fine product and it works very well with my Rode Lavalier Microphone -- except:THE RODE MiCon-5 IS ONLY MEANT FOR CONNECTING TO AN XLR CABLE.I didn't know this and I plugged mine directly into my DVR -- And I could not get it back out no matter how hard I tried.My review is positive because the Rode Microphone service department did right by me -- I sent my DVR with the MiCon-5 stuck in it to the Rode Microphone service department and they took care of it. You can trust them.REMEMBER: ONLY PLUG THE MiCon-5 INTO AN XLR CABLE!
