Although COVID prevented her from attending her new preschool program for children with disabilities this past semester, we had bought this book to help prepare her for the idea. She LOVES this book. She wants to read it daily. She has memorized the children's names and likes to talk about each of them. Because my daughter is used to being with me 24/7, we liked how the last page emphasizes how Ben had a lot of fun at preschool and then it was time to go home (like a first-then directive, to which my daughter responds well). My daughter recites that part; I think it helped her understand and give her comfort knowing that there is a predictable end to the school session when we will pick her up. This book did just that, but also made it fun with the interactive pages. He loves it! I also love that it encourages conversation with him about concepts we have not talked about before since they are new to him. The illustrations are colorful, fun, but not too busy.
