It supports multiple USB ports and dual external monitors, enabling seamless connectivity and enhanced workspace efficiency with a reliable, plug-and-play experience. ## Description This docking station connects your ThinkPad laptop to multiple devices via USB-C and USB-A ports, providing 135W of power and Gigabit Ethernet for enhanced productivity. Review: A geneaiogist's dream - Most of the "docking stations" on offer now require the PC to have a USB-C socket. This "hybrid" can work with either a USB-C or the older USB-A. It has enabled me to continue to use a laptop that I have had for years and still enjoy the laptop's own screen and a second external monitor which I found gathering dust on a shelf. This configuration helps in moving text between applications when cut and paste is not available. I found this approach more reliable than my memory in adding new information from online documents to family trees. Review: Expensive, but worth it - First things first. Go over to the Lenovo site and see if there is a firmware update. If there is apply it as it will address a few issues these units can have. Purchased as it provides all the power the laptop needs over the USB and is therefore a single cable connection Worked fine when plugged in and did everything as expected. Overnight the laptop it was connected to hibernated and the following morning when the laptop was woken up the dock was still showing an amber light and needed a full power down to resolve. It was at this point I found a firmware upgrade on the Lenovo site that addresses this issue I have a webcam and logitech universal receiver connected and no problems what so ever ## Features - Lenovo ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CKG1FXN | | Best Sellers Rank | 6,156 in Computers & Accessories ( See Top 100 in Computers & Accessories ) 53 in Docking Stations | | Box Contents | Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock・(40AF0135UK) (EAN: 0191999788311) | | Brand | Lenovo | | Brand Name | Lenovo | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Laptops | | Compatible devices | Laptops | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 245 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00191999788311 | | Hardware Interface | Ethernet, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0 | | Hardware interface | Ethernet, Thunderbolt , USB 3.0 | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 21L x 8W x 3H centimetres | | Item Weight | 480 Grams | | Manufacturer | Lenovo | | Manufacturer Part Number | 40AF0135UK | | Model Number | 40AF0135UK | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Ports | 15 | | Product Warranty | 3 Years | | Product dimensions | 21L x 8W x 3H centimetres | | Total USB Ports | 2 | | Total USB ports | 2 | | UPC | 191999788311 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Wattage | 135 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Lenovo - **Colour:** Black - **Compatible devices:** Laptops - **Hardware interface:** Ethernet, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0 - **Item weight:** 480 Grams - **Number of items:** 1 - **Number of ports:** 15 - **Product dimensions:** 21L x 8W x 3H centimetres - **Total USB ports:** 2 - **Wattage:** 135 watts ## Images ![40AF0135UK ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C with USB-A Dock - Docking station - USB-C - GigE - 135 Watt - GB - for ThinkPad L480 L580 T480s X1 Yoga X280 - (Laptops > Laptop Docking Stations) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41D8SycUGZL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: is it possible to use this somehow to plug in a second laptop to Ethernet. Don’t have WiFi and want my son to work next to me on his laptop.** A: Hello! This dock will only provide one internet connection so it doesn’t sound like the solution you’re looking for. If you have a single Ethernet cable and you want two laptops online, have a look at an Ethernet Switch. Netgear make good ones. **Q: What other brand laptops is this dock suitable for?** A: It will work with any laptop with DisplayLink drivers installed (displaylink.com/downloads) as this docking station is DisplayLink certified. I had mine working with Lenovo as well as non-Lenovo laptops like Microsoft Surface, Dell, Apple MacBook and even old pre-USB3.0 hardware. This is the most versatile dock I have even owned. **Q: Will this dock work with mac mini (2014) via thunderbolt 2?** A: The Lenovo dock will not work correctly with the mac mini (2014) via thunderbolt 2. But we do suggest the unit in the link below for this: https://www.technoworld.com/startech-com-thunderbolt-3-dock-w-usb-c-host-compatibility-dual-4k-60hz-displayport-1-4-or-dual-hdmi-monitors-single-8k-tb3usb-c-laptop-docking-station-96w-pd-5xusb-10gbps-tb3cdk2dhue **Q: Does this work with a Thinkpad E480?** A: Yes it does. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A geneaiogist's dream *by M***H on 26 January 2025* Most of the "docking stations" on offer now require the PC to have a USB-C socket. There could be more USB ports; generally it works well with my Lenovo C930 laptop. However there have been occasions when the connection to my monitor and external drives was lost - and I don't yet understand why. I also cannot understand what the button on the device is meant to do. However I have one monitor and three hard drives running from it and it charges my laptop at the same time, so all of my objectives for it have been met. ## Frequently Bought Together - LXT Thunderbolt 3 Dock-60W Charging, Dual 4K@60Hz Display, 2X Thunderbolt 3 up to 40Gb/s, DP1.4, 4X USB 3.0 Ports, SD Card Slot, Gigabit Ethernet for MacOS and Windows Laptops (Upgrade) - Anker USB C Cable, Thunderbolt 4 Certified USB C to USB C Cable, 8K/4K Display/40Gbps Charging Cord Compatible with USB4, Thunderbolt 4/3, for MacBook, iPhone 16, and More (100W, 2.3 FT) - Maxonar [2 Pack 3.3FT] Thunderbolt 4 Cable, 240W Thunderbolt Cable 40Gbps Sync 8K/5K@60Hz Display and for Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3, USB4, and USB-C Devices --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ni/products/75154339-40af0135uk-thinkpad-hybrid-usb-c-with-usb-a-dock-docking](https://www.desertcart.ni/products/75154339-40af0135uk-thinkpad-hybrid-usb-c-with-usb-a-dock-docking) --- *Product available on Desertcart Nicaragua* *Store origin: NI* *Last updated: 2026-10-31*
