Others forgot to mention…. When placing the head onto the shaft, you need to be sure the handle piece (Sticks out from the head at 90°) is NOT attached to the head! If it’s not removed prior, the other pieces will not go together. Good luck!!!

Q: Will the magnetic hex socket on this tool hold on tightly enough to a long, 3/8" drill bit, to keep it from wobbling?

Yes, I think it will hold fine. The socket is quite good. If you're in a right angle situation, there is no other option.
