I found that for me, its better just to put it under the screen and inside the burner, because if I have to go somewhere suddenly I can take the whole thing with tongs and dump the charcoal and incense in the toilet to put it out, as I am sure you know Charcoal burns for a long time, and this things gets VERY hot (You can easily burn yourself on it if not careful), and you do not want to leave your house with this going if I was you.
