They are just fine with the bits that I do, but if you are a swinging fiend you may want to look into a grip tape, as I have gotten a mild blister from the texture on the handle from a more robust swinging regimen. As always, your mileage may vary. I find the handles themselves, minus the texture, to be perfectly comfortable during dynamic exercises. They arrived in pristine condition. One has a few chips in the coating now, not sure from what; possibly being boggled into another kettlebell. It's not a catastrophic issue for me but it might be for someone else.
