I picked this up mainly to help manage my filament better, and it’s been really useful from day one. It works straight out of the box with very little setup, and heats up quickly. I’ve used it with a range of materials like PLA, PETG and ABS so far, and it handles them without any issues. One of the biggest advantages is the capacity — being able to dry up to 4 spools at once is a big plus if you print regularly. I also really like that you can either dry filament on its own or feed it directly into your printer using the included PTFE tubes, which makes everything much more convenient. The touch screen is great - i’s good size and easy to use - you can quickly select filament types, adjust temperature/timing without having to mess around with complicated settings. It’s also fairly compact for what it does, so it doesn’t take up too much space. In terms of value, I got it on offer and it felt like excellent value for money, especially considering how much it can do. A couple of things to be aware of: it does generate a fair amount of heat, which is expected, so it’s best used somewhere with good ventilation. There’s also a bit of background noise, but nothing too distracting. Overall, this is a very practical upgrade if you print regularly and want to keep your filament in good condition, especially if you work with multiple materials.

Well designed and implemented, unlike quite a few on the market it dries filament effectively, and evenly without hot spots on the filament rolls, average temperature throughout the chamber is accurate when it has had time to fully stabilise. The large touch screen control interface is straight forward, clear and just plain works. Can also print up to 4 rolls at a time straight from the machine itself if needed, by making use of the numerous bowden connector points. Also coming from an electrical background I took the time to look over the units internals and find the one I have to apparently match its claims of appropriate safety measures; therefore I have some degree of confidence about leaving it unattended whilst I see to other tasks. The only minuses I can think of is the plastic the front panel is made from is prone to attracting dust like mad, I would suggest cleaning with some manner of spray compatible with plastics that claims to have anti-static properties. not a big deal, but mildly irritating. Other than that, it has some gimmicky pulsing lights that come on below the reels in the chamber that are not to my personal tastes - it is however pretty straight forward to turn these off. Highly recommended, I expect it would be hard to find an objectively better filament dryer than this for standard filaments at any price point.

Absolutely brilliant, noisy but drys out filament and improves prints so much. Wish the outlets were better positioned for MMU but otherwise works brilliantly!

I’ve been putting the SUNLU S4 through its paces, and while it does a brilliant job of heating quickly and managing humidity for four spools simultaneously, there are a few distinct design quirks you should be aware of before buying. My main feedback based on usage so far is that as filament spools or reels start getting close to the end and lose their weight, they have a tendency to tip over or lean into the neighboring reel. Because of this, I reckon I will need to print one of the many custom internal spool dividers/holders available on the various 3D printing file sites to keep them perfectly upright. There are also a couple of layout and ergonomics issues. I would much prefer to feed my lines out of the top filament ports, but their current placement gets badly hindered once the filament is actually loaded. The top ports would be far better suited right in the center where the fixed part of the door hinges sit—even if that made the doors slightly smaller, it would be a much better trade-off for smooth feeding. Additionally, the built-in door handles/buttons are really not good or tactile. You will almost certainly want to print more ergonomic replacement handles from the many user-designed files already available online. Lastly, the sealing could be tighter. I would have liked to see better, more robust gaskets for storing my filament long-term when the unit is turned off or not actively running in its automatic mode. Overall, it’s a highly capable, fast-heating dehydrator that saves a massive amount of desk space, but it’s definitely a product aimed at makers who don't mind printing a few modifications to truly perfect it.

Husband loves it, easy to use, dries the filament and he's been getting much better prints. Well worth the money.

I've had this for about 6 months. It drys filament very well and is very cheap on electricity (maybe 1p-2p and hour GBP). It take four reals and has ports where the filament can remain in the device, but can fees into my 3D printer.

cela fait 1 an et demi que je l'utilise et il fonctionne parfaitement ,la seule chose négative est que l'on peut pas descendre l'humidité en dessous de 23 % alors que quand on l'allume la première fois il tourne pendant 6 heures et descend l'humidité à 13 %.En mode programmation il ne peut pas descendre en dessous de 23 %

Der SUNLU Filamenttrockner ist ein echtes Must-have für jeden, der mit dem 3D-Druck arbeitet. Feuchtigkeit im Filament sorgt schnell für schlechte Druckqualität – seit ich den Trockner nutze, sind die Ergebnisse deutlich sauberer, die Layer haften besser und es gibt weniger Fäden oder Blasen. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach: Temperatur und Zeit lassen sich individuell einstellen, das Display ist übersichtlich, und man kann die Spule direkt im Gerät lagern und von dort aus drucken. Besonders praktisch finde ich, dass unterschiedliche Filamente wie PLA, PETG oder Nylon mit den passenden Temperaturen getrocknet werden können. Das Gerät arbeitet zuverlässig, leise und spart mir viel Ärger beim Drucken. Für den Preis absolut lohnenswert – ich würde den SUNLU Filamenttrockner jederzeit wieder kaufen und empfehle ihn jedem, der seine Druckqualität verbessern möchte.
