It's made fairly well and durable. No issues there. I'm using it in a fiber laser project as a secondary measurment solution for determinimg lens dustance from subject to lens glass. The wheel is attached to a worm gear. I now get a number of tics per mm of height, making resolution far better than other more conventional means or solutions. For the most part, it's an adequate bargain considering what it does.
