My DIG, cannot. It jumps from day 4 to 7.** A: The frequency is set by the number of days...so 1 is every day, 2 is every two days, and so on. You can also set every 6 hours or 12 hours. And you have start times as well. **Q: how often do I need to replace batteries?** A: I set my system to water for about 20 minutes every morning, as our climate is pretty dry. Batteries normally last the whole season, (roughly 4 months) but this year they only lasted about 2 to 2 1/2 months. You need to pay attention because, of course, lack of water can kill flowers. **Q: Hi, Could you please let me know what size are the threads of the ends of the timer? Thank you.** A: Yes, The timer has 3/4 inch hose thread. If you were going to use it on the end of a pipe, there are adapters to get from hose to pipe and vice versa.
