They did replace the filter/pump for a stronger one and it was the smart thing to do for their family. This pool has this far been one of my best purchases. I'll update in another 5 years :) --We purchased this pool in 2018 and it has been amazing for our needs. It went up easily and was a good size for the grandkids who ranged in age from 15 to 5, as long as they took turns with diving and thrashing around. When the two teens weren't in the pool, it was perfect for the other 3 for playing and swimming. That's Nana's fault and not the pool's as I should have gotten a larger pool!The quality of the pool is quite good as it held up just fine to all of their playing and horsing around. No scratches, no tears, and the bars didn't bend. My one suggestion with this pool is that the motor for the skimmer/filter isn't very strong. You're going to want to invest in a better mower or buy extra chemicals and a net to keep it clean. I consider that kind of maintenance in the ordinary scope of things, which is why I didn't ding the review for it. If you have a pool in a grassy yard, even with a tarp and bathmats at the ladder, you're going to get grass in the pool. Multiply that times 5 kids and you can understand why the enclosed pump couldn't keep up. If you only have a couple of people who are going to be more aware of grass on their feet or legs, then the pump that comes with it may suit your needs just fine.All in all, we've been really happy with it. I would purchase it again, and may do it anyway just so that the teens have their own pool. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Leave 8 inches from top of pool!! *by T***A on March 31, 2020* Loving this pool!! Perfect size for our small backyard, any bigger would've been too big. I didn't level my ground , just played a 12'x12' tarp down directly on the grass and set up. Its not 100% level but as long as it's not more than an inch or so, you should be totally fine. That was my biggest worry. Setup took a couple of hours. The rods were easy to get in.... the pins on the other hand were difficult , I suggest putting on some garden gloves to pop those pins in. Took a really long time to fill and I was impatient. Pump setup directions were hard to understand for me, I found an easy video online. Leave 8 inches from the top because I overfilled and the pump started overflowing. They should make that part of the directions bigger!! For my needs, I think the pump is great, wil not be upgrading. You will need to get chlorine tablets and a little floater as well as a ladder (found on Amaxon for $25). I also had to purchase some pool shock and used 1/4 cup as well as 9 tspn of Ph reducer because my water was yellow-ish out of the hose. Have had it up for 3 days so far and I absolutely love it!!! Great purchase!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best little pool for a four-year-old *by D***A on August 5, 2022* This pool is perfect for my four-year-old granddaughter and her two sisters. At 33 inches deep they can swim in fact she taught her self to go underwater since we’ve had this. I find the filters fine and I didn’t need a bigger one. At the end of the season will take it down and put it up again next year and then when she’s six I’m gonna get a 42“ x 15‘ one it’s well worth the money they have so much fun and they enjoy it morning noon and night.
