The lid closes and grabs the locking mechanism as it is supposed to but the locking hook is not as long as the original armrest- but still works although you need to push it down a little harder to have it click. Again, a minor difference. Overall very happy with the purchase and hoping it holds up through the changes in temperature over time. So far, I would definitely recommend this purchase especially for the price and overall improvement to a worn/cracked original unit. Just a couple of screws and done! Totally upgraded the look of my interior since my original cover was all cracked and ripped.
