Bad execution, great idea
I really wanted to like this device but it has enough issues to make it borderline unusable. I love the battery, it is very necessary especially since the software crashes and removing it is the only way to reboot the device. It also burns through batteries quickly so carry a spare and maybe remove the battery when not using the device (I never remember). It takes a long time to transfer music (far longer than putting it on a usb) and some songs end up compressed so parts are sped up and sound robotic. Wish this worked better, like that it has two memory cards, but for $40 the device shouldn't crash practically every time I use it. Finally, the UI is quite slow and the buttons only work sometimes.

Old school tech... exactly what I was looking for
Old school tech for pure music enjoyment!! No streaming subsciptions to pay for, no endlessly annoying advertisements before and after every song, no bluetooth, no BS. Just load the music from your CD collection and push play!

Worked great for me
I wanted a quick and fast way of listening to songs I’ve been recording on headphones and this is it. I think it’s genius to have a usb stick that gives you the ability to hear music added to it without needing to put the wave files into my phone or another mp3 player. This worked great and sounded great. And it’s easy to use.

Not worth it
Was looking for a MP player that takes AA battery's. This is not it-->Not worth it.. should have read the description they all come with the same RAM amount!! They just send you a memory card, that you probably have on hand.. Or can pick up at a local mart.. as for the rest it buttons are not great at all!! thought I could just set and forget.. Nope surprise.. I thought I could deal with just a bad display.. Nope I was thinking bad beforehand.. Soooo just so were clear.. real, real almost unusable bad!! Describes it to a T..

Great for file storage but….
I painted the red part of mine purple, and I liked the idea because you can listen to music right on it by plugging earbuds right in it, but it does not work! It stores files and records files, but you can not listen to them on there. Very misleading, but it is good to have extra storage for files, so that's okay.

godawful controls, complicated lack of volume buttons, UGLY ui, radio nonfunctional. could be GOOD.
I think my overall thoughts are that this thing COULD be good using what is there already. I can only imagine that this would strongly persuade someone from listening to music, or trying to listen to music. The controls are compact and cramped, and I hope you weren't trying to have safely accessible volume control, because you're gonna have to hold down R/V and << and >> instead of just being able to press a button. Firstly, these have 8GB internal storage. Expansion says up to 128tb sd. Not sure how sloggy that is/did not test. Please note that there are different versions of this 8GB product, and that this appears to be why they are being sold as such. Other reviews explain that the new 2023 version organizes files differently, has some kind of weird "Backend Play" feature when you incorrectly thumb for the volume (was this something for recording?? the manual doesn't mention it.), and if it does or doesn't talk to your computer based on if the battery is in. I can't tell you anything about the old version, because I did not end up purchasing it. If I had known, I would have tried to buy the other version. Out of box, my brand new mp3 player had a broken line in the screen about 1/4 of the way down. This did not make the experience of trying the product out for the first time very intuitive, to be fair. However, it wasn't just that. I went to the Radio mode and tediously held down << and >> to scroll through stations. My unit could not pick up a single station. I don't know if other units are able to do this, so I can't even tell you how the radio is when the product is new. It feels sturdy. The buttons on the front feel very responsive, but usability and file navigation, even after practice, is difficult. If I had seen that the volume buttons weren't dedicated, I wouldn't have bothered, long story short. The UI itself makes learning navigation feel somewhat arcane and fingercrampy. There are so few features on this that you think they could be done correctly, but it feels almost intentionally like a bad product. It looks like a good product. If you aren't tuned into how it will function and what you want from it, you might not notice the control issue until you start trying to use it. I really like the shape of the body. If the bottom button wasn't used as an Fn key (you have to hold it down and it does take a few seconds) to access the volume, and there were dedicated volume buttons on the side, I would try to order another. I don't want to spend time tediously holding down buttons to do something that should be easy, like turning up or down the volume. If the UI looked better, if the controls were better, if it seemed like a lasting product- I might consider getting one of these again. But the bad UI/controls/advertised features THAT DOOOOON'T WOOOOOORK - I had to return mine. If it wasn't broken, I would still return it due to the clunky volume button issue.

Almost works great.
I am happy that it is AAA battery powered, USB seems to connect to Windows just fine. The only issue I have is how the first 20 (of 40) songs played perfect that I put on it; and songs 21 thru 30 seemed to brick up the device every third song until I re-downloaded the mp3s from a different source and made sure it was 128 bitrate and it seemed to work. It seems to have trouble with random mp3 files and they ones it has trouble with seem to have higher bitrate then 128; however it will play a couple mp3s of higher bitrate just fine so I am confused as to what makes some mp3s brick this up as most seem to work fine. I have a 15 year old RCA I found which is much better but good luck finding another one. These are very hard to find in USA in 2025. This is adequate if you are computer literate about downloading or converting mp3s. It connects to my car via 3.5mm Aux cable that cost me $6 at dollar store. I really like it because it works in my car and runs on AAA battery and NOT my cell battery which is great. 4 stars if I didn't have to redownload so many mp3s would have been 5.

Prodotto buono
Lo uso sempre quando vado a camminare. Molta memoria .
