Not tested using both at the same time! I have a 2TB Samsung SSD in the drive space and it works well as a Time Machine disc. No dropouts overnight, but it did dismount this am - I don't know why. The drives are not set to sleep and no power glitches. Perhaps in need of a firmware upgrade? I presume that the controller for this hub can be updated? I'll keep an eye on this Summary - looks great and works as advertised (better than as the blurb says that will not support drives attached to the front ports (does not support the Apple super drive - who still has one of these around?) Updated: after a week or two, I can confirm the problem with the disc drive being unmounted has gone. I did two things: 1) in settings, set 'prevent automatic sleeping when display is off' to ON 'put hard disks to sleep when possible' set to OFF (the drive is an SSD, so no need to spin discs down 2)) replaced the USB C cable with a short length cable from Anker - I did think of trying the original cable but it is now working well, so why rock the boat!
