Best replacement for OEM filters

I was so tired of having to buy GE filters for my refrigerator at their ridiculous cost. But, I was extremely wary of all the Chinese filter that would be a health risk to buy. I did extensive research on Waterdrop. True, they are made in china but these pass several water testing criteria. Look them up for yourself as a company. An Honest Review

Growing increasing discourage with the GE Filers for my Refrigerator: The crusty-white powder residue on the water catch bin; The foaminess of the water as it’s dispensing. I’ve decided to give this brand a try. An immediate improved. Immediately, the water is clear and clean coming from the spout. Not foamy nor full of bubbles. Yes, bubbly-foam as with GE manufactured filters. After week 1; the white-powder or calcium deposits (?) have stopped building-up on the catch-bin or, falling out from the water spout. Even buying the two-pack filter set, you are saving money. The water quality is 100% better; tastes so much better and, no mystery items building up nor floating in your water.

easy to install. great tasting water and ice

I can only say that it was easy to install and replace in my refrigerator. Given that I dont have the lab to analyze how well it works, I can only say that the water is clear, tastes great and the ice is clear. It is important after installing, to run at least a gallon of water through the filter to clear air from lines and remove carbon dust that gets flushed from the new filter (not toxic, just ugly). I just use the water on my plants....waste not want not, right? Our household is made up of two adults and we use the refrigerator dispenser for water and ice several times a day. It seems to last us about 6 months. (i dont know if the refrigerator is saying it needs to be changed because of age or volume of water that's been filtered.) for the price, I am happy with this particular filter.
