Powers through the buildup, and barley have to scrub the barrel when I'm done at the range, just swab a bit of gunzilla down the tube, let it sit about 5-10 minutes while your cleaning the rest of the slide w/e, and then give it a few scrubs and within 2 patches it's as clean as day 1! I've recently purchased a new polymer H&K USP 9 that I've used nothing but gunzilla on and with about 1000 rounds through it, I still show almost no wear on any of the surfaces and am very pleased with the performance. It does dry up quickly once you have about 200 rounds through the gun, but I have yet to have a problem with cycling or wear. Personally I feel it does just fine as a lube as well as a cleaner/protector.
