The ESC motor combo is perfect for a 1/8 scale car. Be warned if you run the sensored setup you need the castle b link to have it drive properly. Lots of torque and very smooth starts even on sensor less setup. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to hop up there 1/8 scale

Had two of these blow up in under a month each. First time center diff jammed and ESC caught fire seconds later. So much for the overtemp and overcurrent protections it's supposed to have. Second time, it had very little power on startup, then spontaneously combusted. Absolutely nothing wrong with anything this time. Just barely moving the car, testing the servo. Neither ESC was ever pushed hard, just racing a Talion @6S on a small dirt track. Not enough space to use full throttle. On a positive note, the motor is rock solid. Still using the first one after two failed ESC's. And I have the same combo in a Typhon TLR that's still going strong. But 2/3 ESC's catching fire in under a month is ridiculous. I was just lucky they didn't burn down the car with them.

Just was too much for my set up very powerful on the downside is I returned it October 22 and I still have not received the refund and when I contact customer service all they can do is give me the spin off move

Bought this and when it arrived it was just rocks in a castle box wrapper in paper towel

Motor is probably great but the mamba monster x esc is completely junk. Ran 4s redline batteries and on second battery it shut off and went up in smoke.

Did not work and returned waiting for refund

it doesn't last more than a month. turns on now but doesn't give throttle. very dissapointing

I don’t know. I’ve had one for over two years in my trophy flux buggy and it works fantastic (another did not). I had another last three days with a kraton, then another lasted another year, and I just bought ANOTHER one (and FINAL one) for my notorious and the ESC literally exploded on my 7th run. I never did any bashing. I remember buying my first one 5 years ago, the motor broke almost immediately, I sent it to Castle for warranty and they said nothing was wrong with it and sent it back. Bad customer service. Castle has a lot of good products and this is definitely NOT one of them.
