However, in weighing it, it is 4.9 oz., the actual knife weighs in at 4.8 oz. So this training knife should give you a nearly identical feel as using the real one. The measurements are identical. When lubricated the training knife opens a little easier than the actual knife (the hinges look identical so it may just be that I the small amount of weight from the blade makes it open easier).
