Just the right size of leash and the handle was very comfortable. It retracted well and held a position when you locked it in. I did by mistake one time grab a hold of the leash when she was running and the material did lightly slice my fingers. So you do have to be careful with that action. The only thing that others may choose to have on their leash is some way to connect a "poop bag".
