This manufacturer happens to have many, many different sizes and configurations, and the one I chose fell right between two sizes offered by another manufacturer. In other words, the size (an oddball size) of this box was “just right”. In addition, this box is extremely well-made. It comes with a silicone rubber gasket to install on the lid to ensure waterproof integrity. Much to my amazement, it also came with FOUR cable glands, two each of a size, so any cable entering the box can be sealed off to prevent water ingress. The screws are genuine stainless steel, an important feature for wet locations. The 4 pre-drilled holes for mounting the box are each tucked in a corner, and “live” outside the waterproof section of the box so no caulking of the mounting holes is necessary. The 4 mounting holes are completely independent of the watertight compartment. Very clever indeed! There are 4 shouldered areas inside the box which will accept small (probably #6) sheet metal screws for mounting a terminal strip or other electrical items (relays, etc).
