This 6-pack makes up to 12 gallons (48 quarts) of loose coconut fiber. Once hydrated, coco coir helps loosen dense potting soil. This way, water moves evenly through the mix, instead of sitting in heavy clumps. Coco fiber creates small air spaces for better aeration and holds moisture like tiny sponges. This helps the mix stay damp longer between waterings. - EASY TO EXPAND & STORE: Set a brick in a bucket or tub and pour in about 3 to 3.5 quarts of warm (not boiling) water, a little at a time. In about 3 to 5 minutes, it softens and starts falling apart on its own. Then, you can break it up with your hands and fluff it. Still clumpy in the middle? Add a splash of warm water and give it another minute. You'll find instructions printed right on the box. Hydrate one coconut coir brick at a time, then store the rest dry on the shelf for next time. - WASHED & SCREENED WITH LOW EC: We wash and screen every coco coir brick multiple times to get rid of sand, rocks, and debris. Coco Bliss has a natural, earthy smell, low EC, and a pH of 5.5 to 6.3. It’s easy to make buffered coco coir for seedlings or hydroponic systems. Give it a rinse and a soak in a cal-mag solution first, since coir likes to hang on to calcium and magnesium. If you’re using it as a mulch, a simple rinse is all it needs. - ORGANIC SOIL AMENDMENT FOR ANY MIX: Stir this coco fiber into potting soil, garden soil, or raised bed soil to help it hold moisture and stay light. Mix with perlite or vermiculite for seed starting, or try 60% coir and 40% perlite for a fast-draining potting mix. Add extra perlite for succulents, since coir alone stays pretty damp. Use for indoor plants, herbs, vegetables, or as coconut mulch. Coir has very little nutritional value, so make sure to feed your plants once they're established. - PEAT-FREE AND RENEWABLE: Coco coir (also called coco peat or coco fiber) comes from coconut husks, a byproduct of the coconut harvest. Peat moss is dug from bogs that take thousands of years to form and hold lots of carbon, so choosing coir helps leave those bogs alone. Once buffered, it swaps in for peat moss one to one in most mixes. It's OMRI Listed for organic gardening, and a favorite for worm bins, composting toilets, and mushroom growing, too. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C4BK5PWS | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,793 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #109 in Garden Soil | | Brand | plantonix | | Brand Name | plantonix | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 432 Reviews | | Item Highlight | OMRI Listed Coconut Coir Bricks | Organic Coco Coir for Plants, Potting Soil, Seed Starting, Garden Containers, & Mulch Item Highlight OMRI Listed Coconut Coir Bricks | Organic Coco Coir for Plants, Potting Soil, Seed Starting, Garden Containers, & Mulch See more | | Item Type Name | Coco Coir | | Item Weight | 8.4 pounds | | Manufacturer | Plantonix | | Manufacturer Part Number | B0C4BK5PWS | | Model Number | Coco Bliss | | Number of Packs | 6 | | Style | Coco Coir | | Style Name | Coco Coir | | Unit Count | 135 Ounce | | Volume | 12.5 gallons | ## Product Details - **Brand:** plantonix - **Item Weight:** 8.4 pounds - **Number of Packs:** 6 - **Style:** Coco Coir - **Unit Count:** 135 Ounce ## Images ![Coco Bliss Coco Coir 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) | Expands Up to 48 Quarts - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81AhWdsIg5L.jpg) ![Coco Bliss Coco Coir 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) | Expands Up to 48 Quarts - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81fi-HL1WQL.jpg) ![Coco Bliss Coco Coir 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) | Expands Up to 48 Quarts - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71WG-4-sl9L.jpg) ![Coco Bliss Coco Coir 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) | Expands Up to 48 Quarts - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81O0OqN+UUL.jpg) ![Coco Bliss Coco Coir 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) | Expands Up to 48 Quarts - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/918yyfMWNuL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does this coco coir come buffered?** A: Yes it comes Buffered. So you don't have to worry it containing Excess Salts. I used it to start my Vegetables Seed in my water bottle starters. **Q: If I use coco coir as potting mix for hanging baskets (made with coco filler), can I avoid use perlite as a source of drainage?** A: I use this product in hanging baskets as you describe. I do not use perlite in my potting mix. I found the formula of one part coco coir, one part garden soil (fine compost) and one-half part vermiculite works very well. The coco coir doesn't compact, and combined with the vermiculite drains very well. I've also used just garden soil and coco coir without the vermiculite with good results. **Q: Plantonix's website states the size of the brick is 11.81" x 11.81" x 3.94," the link takes me here with reduced dimensions. please help w/ confusion?** A: They have different sizes. This one is for a regular brick. **Q: How many block would be needed for planting 2 apple trees?** A: It would all depend how big or gallons the trees are in , for a small or 15 gallons I believe you would need two bricks , but you would also need to mix with some kind of soil , I wouldn’t just use coir and that’s just my personal opinion. ## Frequently Bought Together - Coco Bliss 650gm Bricks (6-Pack) - Organic Coco Coir for Plants - OMRI-Listed Coco Coir for Garden Soil & Potting Mixes - Coconut Fiber Mixes with Potting Soil for Indoor Plants & Outdoor Plants - Vermiculite Bliss (16 Qts) - Organic Vermiculite for Gardening - Fine Grade Vermiculite for Plants - Coarse Vermiculite Soil Amendment - Bulk Vermiculite for Garden Soil, Perlite, & Seed Starting - Perlite Bliss (24 Qts) - Organic Perlite for Plants - Coarse Perlite Bulk Soil Amendment - Chunky Perlite for Plants, Potting Soil, Garden Soil, & Coco Coir - Horticultural Perlite for Gardening --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ni/products/527674174-coco-bliss-coco-coir-650gm-bricks-6-pack-expands-up](https://www.desertcart.ni/products/527674174-coco-bliss-coco-coir-650gm-bricks-6-pack-expands-up) --- *Product available on Desertcart Nicaragua* *Store origin: NI* *Last updated: 2026-10-11*
