Heck, why didn't the mug come with a lid in the first place? Then I got it and used it. I really appreciate the design of the Ember mug's lid, and now I want one for my 10oz mug, too. Specifically, the way the edge or lip of the lid is contoured makes for a really comfortable drinking experience. You don't really tend to think about what would be ergonomic for your lips - I sure didn't - until I used this. I also really love that the sip-hole slide cover pops off completely, super easily, for cleaning. We've all used sip-thru lids that get uncomfortably gunky.
