Perfect Quest 2 Upgrade For Power Users
Honestly I was sceptical that these Pro Controllers would be that much of an upgrade over the standard Quest 2 Controllers but I was wrong. I am a VR power user, I play Beat Saber each day on either Expert/Expert+ difficulty so having solid tracking on the controllers is something that is a requirement. Plus I also heavily play other VR games like Red Matter and I Expect You To Die. The original Quest 2 Controllers are pretty damn good to be honest, the inside-out tracking works really well but the big problem is the tracking rings. Once the controllers start to overlap each other, the tracking can get wonky. And so here we have the Quest Touch Pro Controllers and these are a big improvement over the standard controllers. These don't suffer tracking issues from things like the controllers overlapping or the controllers going out of view of the headset. These controllers are expensive and I would only recommend these controllers as an upgrade for Quest 2 users if you are a power user and you use your Quest 2 everyday. Edit (29/12/2022): Forgot to add that I have used the Touch Pro Controllers in both Standalone and PCVR, in both occasions the controllers performed perfectly. With PCVR I am using an Oculus Link Cable, I don't use Airlink or Virtual Desktop purely because I don't want to care about battery life. A final note I will say is that I have found that the headset fails to find the controllers when waking the headset up from sleep. Not a deal breaker for me as I've find that if you power off the headset when you're done and then when you want to play VR you power the headset on, the controllers are picked up instantly. Something to keep note of if you must always have your headset in sleep mode.

Great upgrade if you have the spare cash
I really love these controllers they work really well with the Q2, zero tracking problems I play online pcvr and it work fine with that, the battery life is really good they last longer then my vibe trackers and that's a real surprise, the only thing I don't like is after taking them of charge I have to restart my headset every time to reconnect them that's a pain and not sure why that happens. Is your an FPS fan they these really do help as there's no occlusion problems also dealing with wrist based UIs on the normal Q2 controllers has always been a pain but no with the procontrollers

Worth about £20 NOT £300!
Bought for use with quest 2 as advertised to work with it. Yeah... barely. First of all they wouldn't work on day 1, they required a firmware update from meta and that update was stuck at 0% and for some reason you needed a mobile app to pair the controllers to the headset (Is this made by school children or something?) so I spoke to tech support (they did reply very quickly to be fair and the person tried their best but this shouldn't have even happened.) They didn't seem to be doing anything, then literally the next day a system update was released that immediately fixed the firmware and at least made the controllers actually work. So Meta doesn't test their updates before releasing them and can break your stuff at any point. Nice Now it is day 2 and finally I can start using them but what's this they won't work without WiFi turned on which causes the quest 2 to actually not charge fast enough anymore and quickly run out of battery if you're using the link cable for PC. So I switch to using airlink and plug the quest 2 directly into a power socket for better charging. Welcome to lag fest as airlink just lags to hell every few minutes even though I have a powerful 5 GHZ WiFi 6 router sitting literally less than a meter away from the quest that's only job is to supply a WLAN connection to the quest 2. Onto the controllers themselves. Debatably worse than the original controllers... they need to be charged once every single day if you use them A lot. The tracking... While it's true you can put them behind your back and they still track, if you put them down or have them close to any object in your room they just completely lose tracking so if you're sitting down and you put one next to your waist to grab a gun or mag in a game you just can't do that and the controllers just become static for a few seconds. This happens alot. Barely ever happened with the original controllers... The only reason I really bought this was because the joystick drift on the old controllers was really bad and my character would walk backwards all the time when I wasn't pressing anything. It looks like they used the exact same sticks on these controllers so I'm guessing it's gonna start drifting at some point. So to sum it up they are not an upgrade for quest 2 they are just different and not particularly better in any way at all. Absolute rip off

Not Yet Fully Supported on Q2
If you're like me and looking for the latest and greatest tech you can get and you're looking to buy these "pro" controllers as an upgrade for your Quest 2 then Hold your horses and read on... Pros. Erm.. Rechargeable battery Better tracking when out of view of headset** Cons. **Cleaver new tracking requires more light than original Q2 Controller which often leads to warning popping up. **The camera tracking tech has issues with some LED lighting. Buggy Q2 support 1. If you are only using one controller (Walkabout Mini Golf etc) you get annoying popup saying other controller is on charge please remove from charger to use it! 2. If like me you put the headset to sleep rather than a full power off then when you wake it back up it won't connect to the controllers. You will need to restart the headset every time! I'm sure the bugs will get fixed at some point but for now I can only recommend saving your money as any slight improvement they offer is offset by the buggy implementation. I'll update this review as and when they fix any issues.

Game changer for Quest 2
The tracking on these controllers are not reliant on the headsets cameras unlike the controllers that come with Quest 2, so you can put your hands behind you and the controllers report their locations independently, no more looking at your hip to make sure you grab your sidearm or item in VR! With the improved tracking it also makes everything feel a bit more natural, plus the added haptics in this controller are great, making everything feel a bit more real and like it carries weight. I highly recommend them, yes they are expensive but I don't think Quest 3 will likely make better controller than this as they want to keep the price point of it down, so I see these as a long term investment in VR.

Lighter, Tracking moved away from my Quest 2 Headset, usage now more smoother.
I got a pair of these pro controllers due to my headset like forever loosing tracking of the Quest 2 Controllers too many times even when it was in view, I would see sabers (from Beat Saber) float off into the distance while playing, plus also one of my original Quest 2 controllers started suffering with an intermittent IR Emitter (which I could observe when viewing via my phones camera) so it was also loosing tracking of that controller. Sure I could of just got myself a new pair of Quest 2 controllers, but I couldn't see those for sale on Amazon, plus I really wanted to move the tracking away from the headset so I thought I would give these a try and OMG these were way better, they are in fact lighter, the tracking is now smoother due to each controller handles its own tracking removing the need for the headset to also do that so now it seems smoother when using it.

Great Controllers for Quest 2 & 3 But there's a Catch.
It's the best controller money can buy, but it's not perfect. It got 8+ hours of battery life, it's durable, the trigger touch is not good as the Rift CV1 controller, but the tracking is the best you can get, make sure always to clean your controller's cameras with a soft cloth to get best tracking, it has very rare chance to drift away one controller in 1 second but most of the times are stable and great, The 2nd Con is Stick Drift you need to always put them under cloth to protect them from Dust after playing everytime it's so important, The 3rd Con is Expensive not fair price even if it got chip inside, it's a controller anyway you can't use it without a VR headset, Always recharge them to %100 before play when the light be statice green every time, i used it with my Quest 2 and Also with My Quest 3 you need to disconnect the original controller from Meta App on your phone then sync these Pro Controllers the right then the left make sure the VR headset is Turned ON before you do it, Great Controllers Love them. What inside the BOX: 1. 2 Right and Left Quest Pro Touch Controllers 2. Charger to charge your controllers 3. USB C extended to charge the VR headset

Works for quest 3
Works for quest 3. My son says the controllers are so much better to use than the quest 3 controllers, the pro controllers don’t loose tracking.
