Review: Installed on Jaguar XE - The product was as I expected. I used a quality pair of scissors to cut the sheets. The backing came away relatively easily and then the cut sheets stuck well to the bodywork. Not an issue with the product, but I found that access to the bodywork on the Jaguar is more difficult than on older cars I have done this on, with lots of electrical components spread throughout the car. In the end I managed to work around components in the boot, under the rear seats and on the door skins. I also applied isolator on top of the sound proofing (except in the door skins as the doors design allows water to drop down through the window seals and out of drain holes in he bottom). This work took around 9 hours. So, in summary, I haven't been able to install everything where I had hoped to, but with what I have done, I have noticed a small reduction on tyre noise from the rear of the car. I have a simple (cheap) db meter and from before and after tests I would approximate a 2dba reduction on average, which for now is enough for me to keep my (19" wheels 255/35 back). As others have noted, the uk Road surfaces are very variable, from very smooth and quiet to very rough and horrendous, giving , with my cheap meter, variances of in cabin noise of 59dba to 71dba where 59 is very comfortable and 71 is very uncomfortable (to me). Review: Don't mess about - this is the stuff to get. - Bought a nice Citroen Dispatch van fitted with a bulkhead, found a lot of noise transmitting through into the cab from the load area like road rumble and resonance, due to the bulkhead acting like a sound board. Used the mats on the bulkhead in conjunction with acoustic carpet to hide the mats. Works a treat...
