Isn't the focal length of a dioptre +2.0 =500mm? Please explain?** A: The standard focal length is set at 30cms. So if looking further than this you will not need as much reading power and vice versa ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall first impression is impressive. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 6 March 2023* First impressions are good as they look and feel well made. The neck cord is particularly substantial with a large adjusting ball on it, ideal for big fingers. The lenses are good for reading, though not quite as good as my prescription glasses, but then these are a fraction of the price and primarily for use as safety glasses. Best focusing area is in the middle of the lenses. The curved nature of the lenses distort the view though its only really noticeable when looking at my iPad screen, it looks a little concave, the sides diverge upwards and the keyboard gets more narrow the nearer it gets to me, which is all a little weird. I bought these primarily to take with me when I go fishing as they stay firmly on my head while Im looking down and are more likely not to break when they are in my bag. The lenses are anti-fog and it works, as I tested them while cooking with steamy saucepans. I think I will prefer using these rather than my prescription safety glasses (they have a lens that falls out, loose hinges on the arms, plastic ear cover pieces that have come off the ends of the arms and a neck cord that keeps falling off).
