If you ignore this, you'll most likely overheat the blade which will make the glue bond between diamonds and the blade fail, resulting in a diamond-free spot and partially damaged blade. Also, make sure you get a THIN blade, ideally 1mm. Thicker blades are likely to damage the tiles unless you are very, very careful. Don't ask me how I know all of this.
