How does this compare with curcumin k with bioperine black pepper extract?

Curcumin K2 takes the traditional approach to a curcumin supplementation by providing curcumin extract powder (1330 mg) with 20 mg bioperine (black pepper extract). While black pepper extract can help increase bioavailability, it unfortunately can also act as an irritant to the GI tract, causing stomach discomfort. There are various differences between this product and our unique formula. Rather than using a unilateral, dry delivery method to address issues of curcumin bioavailability and absorption, we have chosen a more comprehensive and healthy approach. The Curcumin form we use is much more potent than the standard curcuminoids out there. It is called tetra-hydro curcuminoids (THC), which curcumin already converted to metabolite form, so it is ready to be absorbed much more quickly than regular curcumin extract, and less of it is eliminated as waste. Also, since curcumin is fat soluble, we provide the needed fat source by suspending our tetra-hydro curcuminoids in black cumin seed oil. In addition to increasing bioavailability, black seed oil itself provides many health benefits (such as responding to inflammation in a powerful and healthy way and exhibiting strong antioxidant activities). Not only do you get increased bioavailability and the double whammy response to inflammation and oxidative stress provided by this powerful duo, but also the added absorption-boosting benefit of Astragin (a combination of Astragalus and Ginseng) that has been shown to increase absorption by 92%. We top it off with 100 mg of ginger root extract. This truly comprehensive list of ingredients, all working cohesively together, are wrapped up nicely in a tapioca, vegetarian soft gel for easy transport and delivery whenever needed.

I'm on the fence about one of the ingredients in this product. carrageenan. thomas delauer states that carrageenan actually causes inflammation?

Due to a temporary supply chain shortage, we used carrageenan for a while instead of our original tapioca formula for our soft gels. Although we’ve since returned to the use of tapioca now that the supply chain issues are resolved, we never used the denatured form of carrageenan (which is actually called poligeenan, and is the substance that causes inflammation). There is some confusion in health communities regarding these two substances, since there hasn’t always been a term to differentiate between the two. But in order to convert carrageenan to poligeenan, you’d need heat and acid levels far in excess of what the human body can produce. Though we used the technical term “carrageenan”, the substance we used to thicken the softgel enclosure that holds the curcumin/black seed oil emulsification, is red algae extract. It’s perfectly safe and does not cause inflammation, All that being said, we have gone back to using tapioca in our clean, vegetarian soft gels.

It says 30 day supplie, and 2 pills are a serving size so do you get 60 pills per bottle?

Yes, each bottle contains 60 soft gels with the recommended serving size being 2 soft gels per day. This means each bottle is a 1 month supply. A good ingredient is when it's tested for certain levels of actives / nutrients. An ingredient stamped organic can have less active / nutrients if its not standardized. Standardization is key.
