The pictures show the holes facing up .. which seems to make it hard for water to get kn and trip.** A: The holes definitely remain facing up as water is not intended to penetrate the unit. You will notice the small screws on the bottom of the sensor, when water touches those screws it makes a connection that triggers the sensor. **Q: Can i change the push alert? It sends endless notifications over and over until its physically turned off. Maybe one every 5 min would be better.** A: No such feature directly with the unit, but you should be able to with your automation platform. **Q: do these work with google home / Assistant ?** A: Not sure, but they do work with Hubitat, using the generic Zigbee moisture sensor driver. If Google / Home Assistant has similar drivers, it would probably work.
