This was able to seal the crack well and the basin is holding water well. We'll see how it stands up over time but the epoxy dried hard and smooth so it looks promising. As noted by others... you need to work fast when using this! My first attempt at using this product didn't work out well as I took too long, and before I had finished painstakingly applying the epoxy mix it grew extremely hot and started to harden before I'd applied much of it. My second attempt I was ready and worked quickly. One thing worth noting is that the epoxy comes out quite runny so if you're applying to a curved surface be aware of that, and you might want to just cut a corner of the epoxy packet so that you are applying a narrow-ish stream with more control than what I initially did. I don’t see why it wouldn’t work for your application. It’s held for a solid year, with several uses. **Q: My coolant tank isn't cracked but has that white spiderweb look on the top near the cap, would this cover that section, to prevent it from cracking?** A: I think so. My tank had a small hole and it was very brittle in the area with cracks and it has done just fine for several months now. Much cheaper than paying $100 bucks for OEM tank. **Q: Will this work on rubber?** A: Does it say it works on rubber? If it does then yes otherwise buyer beware. Please read shut the product uses and descriptions before asking this type of question. **Q: Which is the best sealent for stopping leakage in sintex water tank** A: I ended up using gorilla glue, it was easy to apply and leaves a clear watertight seal. Remove the tank, drain it, wash it well with soap and water, dry it well, apply gorilla glue to the cracks and let dry, then water test before you reinstall the tank.
