A: Please be assured that it is safe. There could be a mild smell of paper pulp or natural fabric. Airing them out for a few days would do.

**Q: How well do these clean? Especially the beige ones**
A: I would use a vacuum to clean them. I bought the medium gray ones..

Great storage bins! They're roomy inside and have a slab for the bottom in order to help the box hold its shape. Looks great in my room and even comes with white blank labels for even deeper organization. It has a nice color and texture, sits flat even when filled. Very nice for the price, works well so far, and has pretty decent quality material (nice and thick!)
