Product description Following on the footsteps of our DriveShaft HM and Track we saw and opportunity to improve upon a tried and true design. Introducing the DropTop; our next locking fork mount that grows upon years of feedback and use. The DropTop utilizes a TPU overmolded shim to allow for both 12mm and 15mm axles to fit without the need for switching shims out. It is based upon the same clamshell design as the DriveShaft series, which allows for easy loading and adapts to minor differences in axle diameter or contouring. The DropTop also includes mounting holes for both horizontal and vertical mounting orientations, so it replaces both the DriveShaft HM and DriveShaft Track Mounts. RockyMounts DropTop The DropTop is easy to load, clamp, and lock for any user. Simply remove your front wheel and re-install your thru-axle. Place the axle into the open DropTop and clam the axle utilizing the T-bolt for tension. Quick and Easy. Included Hardware The DropTop comes with all the needed hardware for installation on RockyMounts Track Systems and VanTracks. The mounting plates also work with many factory track systems and Unistrut. Thru-Axle Sizing The DropTop is compatible with 12mm, 15mm, & 20mm thru axles up to 110mm wide Anti-Theft TPU surface provides sufficient friction to stop the axle from being removed when DropTop is firmly clamped and locked

I mount two on a 2”x6” stud and place it in the back of my truck facing the cab for transporting two bikes. I ask have a second one. Two more mounted on a 2”x6” stud in the back of my truck facing the tail gate. This allows me to secure and carry up to four Mountain/Road bikes (thru axels) for a fraction of the coast of other bicycle racks. When I’m Don I simply pull the 2”6” studs out of my truck and store them for next time.

I love these thru axel fork mounts. I now have four. I mount two on a 2”x6” stud and place it in the back of my truck facing the cab for transporting two bikes. I ask have a second one. Two more mounted on a 2”x6” stud in the back of my truck facing the tail gate. This allows me to secure and carry up to four Mountain/Road bikes (thru axels) for a fraction of the coast of other bicycle racks.
