**Q: the size chart for this item is for gloves and womens outerwear, can you please fix this ?**
A: MED=7 1/8, LARGE=7 3/8 AND XL=7 5/8. I ordered Large for me and my 18 yr old son this summer. We both have what I would consider "average" size heads. Excellent Hat!

**Q: how wide is the brim?  inches?**
A: mine is 2.75" wide brim all the way around

**Q: I were a size 8 fitted hat will the xl fit?**
A: R.Sandhu, you don't have to worry a bit, rest assured, l own both this hat and their Gortex version, too. They both have a chin strap, more important, they both have a cinch cord on the back brim. During the summer l wear this hat while l'm out and carry the Gortex version in my daypack. A helpful hint, tho, this hat has a mesh top, a small bandana, do rag etc, is needed if the sun is blaring with no shade in sight, super hot out and out for hours, wet the hat down, damp, helps keep your head cool, avoid letting your head getting baked, other than that, great investment, happy trails .....

**Q: how do you guys wash your hats? im not sure the best way to wash it**
A: I hand wash mine with dish soap in a bucket. They can also be cleaned in a washing machine on gentle cycle and air dried. The only issue I have found with using the washing machine is it puts more wrinkles in the hat, so you have to take extra time flat drying it. This is more of an issue with a top loader than with a front load tumble type washer.
