Relive the classic
I loved Ducktales on the NES.After getting over the nostalgic factory, this version definitely improves upon the original.1) Pogo sticking: Pogo sticking is much easier than the original game. You can turn on hard pogo sticking if you like the nostalgic factor but it doesn't make the game any more fun.2) Graphics are much improved. This is 90% of the reason to buy the game.3) Some of the levels are slightly different. For example, instead of going left when you reach the top of the vines with the bees, in this version, you go right. Not a big deal. The levels are 100% recognizable and all the hidden locations are still there.4) The money bin is nice added feature. The more money you get, the higher it fills up. Eventually, you can get it so full, it starts filling up with red diamonds.5) The first new level (money bin) is a nice touch.6) The new last level is nice.7) You can buy paintings with your money. It takes a very long time to buy all the paintings so it adds some replay value.8) My four year old and six year old love it. My four year old can almost beat a level. After buying the video game, I had to go buy them all the old dvds. They love it that much9) Sound track is just awesome.10) Cut scenes are annoying after the first seven times buy they can be easily skipped (wish there was an option to turn them off altogether)Overall, great family get, great 2d side scroller, great graphics, good sound, good replay value, and appropriate for four years old to adult, If you are a fan of the original, you will love this. If you are not, you will still love this game.

Still a classic
I loved this game as a little kid on nes and the remake is even better. I been playing it awhile and am very happy with it. I would've preferred a more added to it not just updated graphics and game play To me mixing polygons with vector 2d has to be done right and although these graphics aren't bad they aren't great. I'd prefer cartoon style polygons for backgrounds and characters like how they remake of Castle of illusion which is a great looking game. But other than that a great game, still a classic. You get character voice overs as well and the classic ducktales song from the cartoon series. If they'd had uniform graphics and added more than I'd give it a 5. But by all means get it.

Old is New Again - It Never Looked So Good
Yes, I was so excited about this release that I pre-ordered it. I *pre-ordered* a Duck Tales game (and proud of it). The graphics are what you would expect for a "remastered" title from the old, original Nintendo days so that is to say I am quite pleased with the updated results. Although there are changes to the game mechanics and even the graphics it's not so much that it would bother you if you liked the original. This is just the sort of game to play for the casual gamer who doesn't mind games based on a kid's cartoon or for those of us with severe nostalgia issues (raising hand). There is still skill involved in getting through each level (just like the original) and if you can play this without singing the theme song then I tip my hat to you, sirs and madams (because I can't - I STILL know all the words ;)

Great Game!
Love this game. Very nostalgic for me. The updated graphics are a plus and holds up well to modern games. Gameplay is amazing. Highly recommend this game if you can get your hands on it before the price skyrockets. I managed to get it for around $20 and was happy to see it arrived with case, artword and insert.

Life is like a hurricane here in Duckburg
This by far is probably one of the greatest remasters of a game that I have seen. It truly captures the nostalgic feeling and gameplay of Ducktails from the NES but with a new coat of paint and more exciting challenges, not to mention the actual voice overs from the original cast of the cartoon series which is absolutely superb. A few minor tweaks and changes have been made in the story but it still is Ducktails through and through and the kid in me couldn't be happier.

Get ready to click "Skip this cinematic"!
I bought this game for nostalgia sake. It was one of my favorite on the NES some 300 years ago, and it's still cool today...(But) This game is riddled with cinematic scenes...so much so that I fear if I had watch them all without skipping I would still be playing the game....20 years from now! Every little thing has a cut scene! EVERYTHING! It's just too much and cause for a rather frustrating game experience. The controls are a bit finicky as well, and take some time to adjust to. (Nothing like learning to play Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, but still a bit annoying). Other than that the game was fun as alway. The graphics and improvements were beautiful to say the least. I loved the added effects to the background. The boss fights were still just as repetitive as in the original, but I actually liked the fact that it wasn't changed. All in all I'm glad I bought the game. It was well worth the money. If you loved it before, you will love it today. Now, if someone would just remake the NES game Battle Toads, I would be in heaven! :p
