It was very easy to program. The instructions are complete, well-written and seem to be actually written by an American. Even though I only use this for 1 device, the TV, I tested it for controlling 3 devices including a digital TV converter box and DVD player. It performed flawlessly. I was particularly impressed with the power and wide angle of the infrared beam this remote puts out. I could be very far off angle from the devices and they still received its signal. Great for a lazy aimer. Also great is the fact that the device code list is current (2010) so recent as well as past equipment models can be accessed. I'm so impressed by everything about this remote that I purchased a 6-device version (RCRN06GR) for my main system. The low price of this and the other remote make them a bargain. The 6-device unit has advanced features totally not expected for such a reasonably priced remote. Highly recommended. Review: Fine Replacement - Works great for my older Sony tube TV. Button lighting could be better, but at least I don't have to get out of bed in order to turn it off before going to sleep. Stock remote took a poop a year or so ago - I'm assuming battery corrosion.
