The lukewarms are always very detailed, so I decided to check them out point-by-point when I got my machine. I've used a Nitty Gritty motorized machine similar to the Record Doctor (but far more expensive and substantial), and I've used a Discwasher system. I found the Discwasher is FAR less effective than any machine hands-down. It gets the fluid spread evenly, but doesn't mop it up effectively. The discwasher brush doesn't get the fluid DEEP into the groove, either.The Nitty Gritty was great... and the Record Doctor CAN be as good with some practice (keep in mind the Nitty Gritty is a LOT more money).For $200, the Record Doctor WILL get cleaning fluid deep into the record. The supplied fluid is much better than the Discwasher D4 stuff, or any homebrew fluid. Yes, some Record Doctors have motors that heat up, but that's the trade-off. How often will you be cleaning 10 records back-to-back-to-back? (And mind you, some of them do NOT have a motor that gets really hot).The bearing I had no problem with; I just have a cheapie old turntable nearby on which I put the disk to apply the fluid, then I move the LP to the record cleaning machine. I have not had a problem with the lead-in area.Overall, this thing did a PHENOMENAL job cleaning my disks and making them sound a million times better. Albums that I just figured were noisy to begin with, turned out to be nice and quiet, and I just didn't know it! It has paid for its $200 just in sheer enjoyment after 6 months. Highly recommended, unless you can spend 5x more for a VPI cleaning machine. **Q: the bottom (an only) vacuum brush touch the record while you spin?** A: The felt brush that lines the vacuum slot brushes the record as you spin it. For this reason it is important to keep it clean and prevent dust from settling on it. I made a cover for the record doctor out of an old pillow case. **Q: Does this unit work in countries whu use 230vAC.??** A: When I recieved my Record Doctor it was marked on the box that it was a U.S. 120v unit, and there were options for other standards to choose from. It seems they make different versions depending on where they're shipping them. I recommend going to Audio Advisor directly (audioadvisor.com) to ask specifically about the standard in your country. **Q: How i can identify the needed voltage of the machine?** A: I believe the question is .....Will it work in "X" country? Those sold in US are 120v. Common household electric.
