The Polk Audio R900 Reserve Height Module delivers crystal-clear highs and rich bass with its 1" Pinnacle Ring Radiator Tweeter and 4" Turbine Cone Woofer. ## Description

Designed to perfectly complement the Reserve series, this optional height module adds exceptionally realistic sound without the hassle of installing speakers in the ceiling. The R900 is fully compatible with all the latest next gen home theater codecs: Dolby Atmos, DTS, DTS:X, DTS:X Virtual, Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization Technology, IMAX Enhanced, and Auro-3D.

Review: Excellent Height Speakers - These speakers are quality made and very appropriately match the drivers design in my other Polk speakers. This is my first experience with Dolby Atmos speakers. When properly placed, set-up, and configured with your AVR, the end result is significantly improved and enhanced sound quality. The immersive sound experience is quite stunning. I have made several placement changes since they arrived. Even before I bought them, I ruled out ceiling installation. With these R 900 height speakers you have 2 options—on top of your front speakers facing upward or on the wall behind your home theater system. I have tried both and prefer the upward firing effect, but not on top of the front speakers. Mine are facing up, but on shelving behind the entertainment center facing up and pulled forward closer to the ceiling (see pic). My subwoofer is also behind the entertainment center. This arrangement gives me the best overall immersive experience from a wide range of sources. I am very satisfied with these speakers. I should add that I also upgraded my AVR to the Marantz SR-7015 which according to the documentation incorporates the latest technology to enhance the Dolby Atmos sound experience.

These speakers are quality made and very appropriately match the drivers design in my other Polk speakers. This is my first experience with Dolby Atmos speakers. When properly placed, set-up, and configured with your AVR, the end result is significantly improved and enhanced sound quality. The immersive sound experience is quite stunning. Love the polk reserves. Sound like speakers costing twice as much. I've had issues with some or the reserves(7.2.4) tweeters, but polk sent out replacements super fast. Speakers can be a little hard to drive. Plan on buying nice amps.
