I purchased it to control the heater in a bathroom fan/heater/light combo and it works great! **Q: Should I be concerned about connecting the aluminum wires to copper? Seems like all of these timers have aluminum leads.** A: These timers do not have aluminum lead wires. They have stranded copper leads that have been “tinned” with silver solder to keep the strands together and improve electrical connectivity. The silver solder on the leads may fool you into mis-perceiving that they are aluminum, but still they are not. **Q: Will this fit alongside another switch inside a two gang box?** A: Yes absolutely will fit in a normal two-gang box. Note my older 1950-s home has some shallow boxes - it won't fit in these. On the two gang box, depending on what you're using the other side of the box for (another switch? Outlet?) you may have to buy the right face plate and then install the timer knob and time indicator over the switch hole in the face plate. It is mounted on an outside wall in a junction box with cover, certainly not the best conditions but it never fails....not yet anyway. I use one for my RO system and one for a fountain on my patio. I have used others and rarely do they last longer than 6 months before sticking on.
